Weekly Reading/Social Studies Response Assignment
It is very important to not only read on your own, but also practice writing. Our school ELA approach supports Balanced Literacy, which integrates and facilitates both reading and writing skills together.
Step-by-Step Directions:
- First, read the question you have been given.
- Next, read the article and think about the essential question.
- After reading, complete a well-written thoughtful response to the question in full sentences. This means if I read your answer I should understand exactly what the question was asking! We will work on writing in school so please think about the strategies we learn and use in school, at home!
- Lastly, remember to bring your written response with your other homework back to school.
#1 Rule: Have fun and engage in whatever you are reading!
